testing, testing, is this thing on?

Dear family, friends, and stalkers,
It seems to me that when I need to use my time wisely the most it actually happens the least. I have so much to do and yes, I only checked one thing off my list today. This month of December has FLOWN by while jam packed with big exciting events. There have been temple trips, birthdays, graduations, weddings, and silliness all before Christmas! It's late and I am too tired to write about them all (they each deserve their own post). Therefore ladies and germs I give you:

My life according to a camera phone!

"I love to see the temple!"
Me and my fellow camera hog!
Someone stole my camera! But secretly I love it!
My office Before
My office after (still in progress. I've spent less then $100 and it feels good!)
Happy Birthday Rachel J!
The graduate
All you need is love!

A Birthday Shout out!

I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY To my wonderful cousin Isaiah.
He's the one in the middle

I wish everybody knew Isaiah because I know they would all love him. I wish that I lived closer to their family because then I could hang out with him more. But seriously people, he is one of the coolest people I know! Every time I see him I am blown away with the new thing that he is doing and mastering. He is smart, funny, a good brother, and a wonderful uncle.
But I think he's the best at being a great cousin! He totally humors me during all my shenanigans and I LOVE it! (Thanks for dancing with me at Aaron and Tessa's wedding Buddy!) So many good memories with this guy!

Isaiah, I just love you! I am so glad I get you as a birthday buddy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAIAH!!!!

My Birthday Party! Every one is invited!

Well, it's that time of year again. In 24 hours I will be 26 years old!! I am excited! I love birthdays. Actually I love celebrating everyone else's birthdays. I am not one of those people who hates getting older, I actually LOVE it! However, I would much rather spend my energy planning a bash for your big day rather then mine. But everyone knows I love a good party!
Happy Birthday Mari Ann!

Happy Birthday Megan
Happy Birthday Tressa

Anyway, I know all of you are thinking "Oh it's Deborah's Birthday! I want to get her the greatest present!" You're all probably racking your brains trying to come up with something that I would like. Well I already know what I want.

To all my friends and family who read my blog and love me:
All I want for my birthday is for you to go and do some type of service for some one else. And by that I don't mean some random nice act, but something that you thought out and put a little bit of effort into for someone you have been thinking about, worrying about, or are having difficulty loving.

Here's my thoughts behind my birthday wish list. You see I was thinking today about my life. Seriously I think I just have the greatest life! But the thing is, my life is so great because others make it that way. I am so lucky to have the best quality people in my life. I have the best family, the best friends, the best employer, the best bishop, the best ward.....etc. I feel like every single day of my life some one from that group does something to help me learn and grow and become a better person and it fills my heart with love. So I decided that to celebrate the awesome life I have been given, I want to spend the day giving back and serving other people.

And how much better and more effective would that service be if you did something to add to it! Really, I am being serious. I would love for you to join in on my birthday party! You're all invited! Go do some act of service this Saturday (or anytime if you're to busy). I want to share the love I feel with you guys and I bet you'll feel it if you really try to think of something specific and intentional to bless someone's life. And I would LOVE to hear about what you do! I want the stories.

I am so excited! I already have a few things in mind. This is going to be the best birthday ever!

So to sum up, you're invited to my birthday party. What can you get me? Do something special for someone else. That, or a really nice hair waxing kit! ;-)

And for your viewing pleasure and because I don't mind embarrassing myself on the world wide web I present to you my favorite birthday song. I sang it to my best friend two years ago on my birthday. (It's kind of long so you don't have to watch it all. Really.)

Upon request of my mother, here is the actual song so you can hear the lyrics. (It's the first song in this video)

So much to say, so little time!

I FINALLY have my computer back with internet access (thanks Brad). I have been needing to blog for a very long time now. We will start with Tressa Lee's Birthday!

My baby sister turned the big TWO ZERO! She is no longer a teenager and it was time to celebrate!
This is how it was in the morning. All decked out for her princess party day!

The table had a fun little tiara for her to wear that every one told me she wouldn't. But I know my sister and she definitely did!
As you can see we decorated the bathroom for her with fun little messages every where. During the day I tried so hard to beat her to all of her classes so I could leave a yellow rose and a little present but alas I fail almost every time and caught me. There was one time she was sitting in her class room with a group of people and I walked in and started to set it all up. I had a little conversation with the group and then left. But I had no idea she was sitting there the whole time. I think it was all just to much of a blur for me to notice. After her classes we went to subway for lunch.
There was much more fun to the day and things that happened we will never forget. Happy Birthday Tressa Lee! I love your face!!!

West Yellowstone (I wish i could think up clever titles)

Last year Tressa and I went to West Yellowstone for her birthday and saw Guys and Dolls. We LOVED it so much that we decided to make it a tradition. This year we grabbed Sarah and went to see The Foreigner.
I was a bit skeptical, but the Play Mill of West Yellowstone came through again! We loved it! Happy Birthday Tressa! I am so sad this is our last summer in Rexburg together. (But lets be honest, I am not sad I wont be here as a student next year!!!)

Happy Birthday Tressa

Well my baby sister turned 19 this last week. I didn't know that was even possible! I feel like a wretched sister because I didn't do all of the things I wanted to for her birthday but we did do something fun! Friday night we got in the car and drove to West Yellowstone to see Guys and Dolls at the Playmill. It was sooo much fun although I must confess I was a little critical of the place because I remembered the story my mother tells about her experience there. But over all we had a fantastic time and they did great! Here are some pictures of the fun!

They asked if anyone was celebrating a birthday and I made her go up there. The guy singing to her was on one knee just a second before. It was the best!

I thought her face after she sat down was classic.

One of my favorite parts was during intermission when the characters began selling concessions in their characters. There was this one guy who climbed up the seats over people's heads. HA When he was standing next to me on the chair with the guy who the chair belongs to trying not get his head out of the actor's crotch was one of the funniest things I had ever seen.

Here is proof I was there:

Be carefull, You're coming up on old maid age.......

That was the warning my Grandpa gave me about a week before my birthday. I am not sure what I am supposed to do about that but thanks for looking out for me Grandpa! My birthday was Great! I had a lot of fun. I was pampered at work with birthday signs, cakes, and flowers. Then my best friend took me out to dinner and Tressa and I went to Utah where I was given more flowers by my sweet Grandpa. Here are some pictures from all the birthday fun.
