Home Sweet Home

Don't you just love it when you can escape from life and get rejuvenated? Last weekend that's what happened to me! It was so nice. Wednesday afternoon I packed a bag and flew down to long beach, California. As soon as I stepped off the plane I took a deep breath of California air and felt like the life had just gotten better. One of my best friends was getting married in the New port beach temple and we immediately got to work. Thursday we spent the whole day driving around running errands for the wedding and had the bachelorette party that night! It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of me as the model for the toilet paper wedding dress competition. (We won)

Friday of course was the wedding. I love these two people. They are honestly two of the best people I know. Jana would give anything to help you and drop anything if you need her and Barney restores my faith that there are still amazing guys out there. They truly deserve each other. Doesn't it warm your heart to see two good people so in love and have such a happy beginning?

Saturday I spent the day in Victorville. It felt like I had gone home. I just love the high desert! I loved driving around and seeing all the places I grew up. I loved being some where that was so familiar even though it has been 7 years since I have been there. There is something good for your soul to go to a place that reminds you of who you are and how great life is. I drove home on sunday feeling so refreshed, rejuvenated, and so optimistic about the future. Here are some pictures we took at scandia (pretty much my childhood play ground) after the saturday night reception. (thanks bishop Bradley!)

Guitars Unplugged

Tressa and I went to guitars unplugged last night and it was a blast! Guitars unplugged is a concert put on by BYU-Idaho featuring bands and guitarists from our school. We really do have very talented people who come here. I go every semester and love it! (for the most part) This semester we both had dates and went as a group. After guitars unplugged we came back to my house and watched funny video clips online and talked. My camera died before we got a big group picture, but here are a few pictures of Tressa and I getting ready.

Our classic Bathroom picture:

Of course we had music, and of course I was dancing:

We were ready to get the party started:

And this is probably my favorite picture of them all. It totally shows our personalities and really what happens with us on a daily basis.

(For clarification I was just showing her we should do a kissy face and Shane (our photographer) took the picture at the perfect moment)

How lucky I am to have my sister and best friend here at school with me. I am constantly telling people how great she is! I will miss that girl when she goes home for the Fall

I have wanted to write but lately felt like I have nothing to write about. My life has been pretty boring due to the crazy busy schedule I have. So I figured instead of trying to make something fun up I would just tell you what I have done the last two days.

Tuesday:
5:30AM-6:30Am: Wake up, do home work, read scriptures
6:30-6:45: go back to sleep.
6:45-7:00: hate on the alarm clock
7:00am-8:00: get ready for class and go
8:00-1:00pm: go to three classes back to back
1:00-2:00: get lunch
2-3pm: Devotional
3-5pm: work
5:30-7pm: study group
7-9:30pm: enrichment
9:45ish: come home, eat dinner, and still have no home work done.

Today:
Repeat yesterday.

Oh I love my life and not having any time to sit down or talk to people. HA I have so many calls to make and so many emails to return. One day people. One day.

Because I like blogs with pictures and I don't have a good recent one of myself this is my new favorite one of the temple. I used this in my enrichment craft the other day!

Decorating the bat cave

Well some times I feel like my little basement apartment is a cave. Last semester it as so cold and so drab. Our landlord absolutely refuses to let us decorate the apartment. She decorated it and it looked like this:

Well My environment definitely effects my morale. I was struggling a bit and really didn't enjoy being in my apartment. So between semester's my landlord and I had a "discussion" about decorating. She held her ground but finally agreed to let me hang up a different clock if I wanted to. Well a clock is a small thing and so are pillows so I didn't think she would mind that. But of course the pillows wouldn't go with that horrible couch. So I grabbed some cheep sheets and fixed up the couches a bit. Here's what it looks like now after I did all the decorating I thought I could get away with. (the big gold picture is definitely hers)

There was a clock that was supposed to go in that corner, but it was broken when I bought it and I had to take it back. It's dumb but I was really sad. It was my favorite thing about the whole apartment. (mainly cuz it was SO cheep)

I think it is much better now. HA I still have remodeling suggestions for her but at least it looks better now. HA I really just need to get my own house one of these days.
