Rebounding

Today started off as a really good day. I looked really good for court today (Juvenile court for my internship), I had fun doing community service with our kids, and was feeling alright. Then I went to a group meeting and I left in such a bad mood. There was a bit of an incident and I just could not brush it off. I ended up just thinking about all of the bad things going on in my life and of course that is no way to look at things. Don't worry though, I did my darnedest to pull my self out of my funk I was in. One of those things was to watch Boundin'. It is a short film made by pixar. I saw this movie a few months after my placement and it really struck a cord with me. I was pretty much in tears in the theater when i first saw it. Now, I watch it every time I need a little boost. Actually on days like this I watch it quite a few times. It just makes me happy and reminds me that I just need to bound and rebound.

Good bye to a loved tradition

Last night Tressa and I went to our last Guitars unplugged together while both of us are students. We have gone together every semester since she has been here and it's become a bit of a tradition. I don't even like going now if she is not here. Yesterday I wasn't in the greatest of moods and Tressa Dragged me along, but once we got there I cheered right up. I know I have posted pictures of guitars unplugged in the past, but since it was our last one I wanted to reminisce a bit and post the pictures again.

Sarah took this picture for us and REALLY wanted us to show our shoes. We had to do quite a few takes because balancing on one 3 inch heel is hard.

Spring semester 2010

Waiting for the show to begin

Winter 2010 didn't have any worth while performances and last night's videos are not available yet.

It's time for Africa!

All I have heard my cute roommate Sarah talk about for the last few days is the world cup. It's being hosted in south Africa you know? Friday night Tressa, Sarah, and I went to a world cup/birthday party for a girl in our relief Society. We thought it would be a good idea to dressed up in Sarah's African Garb to represent. HA It was a blast! The funnest thing about it was watching how excited Sarah got as we put it all on. When we got to the party Sarah, Tressa, and I did an African dance and the other girls wanted to join in. So Sarah taught us more african dance moves and she got even more excited. In the three years I have lived with her I don't think I have ever seen her so giddy. We all had such a good time. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Of course our classic Deborah and Tressa Picture

Dancing pose that Sarah made us do
